Role Description
Full-time Optician at Visual Symptoms Treatment Center. Lead optical department and provide clinical support for optometrists. The Optician will be responsible for but not limited to preliminary visual skills testing, measuring glasses with automatic glasses measuring equipment, monitoring exam lanes during clinic, daily optical shop glasses and contact lens dispensing, teaching patients contact lens insertion and removal, patient calls, manage orders, daily administrative office assist.
Work days include Monday-Tuesday, Off Wednesdays, Thursday-Saturday with 1/2 day Saturday clinics.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on pediatric patient care
- Phone communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Computer proficiency needed for tasks such as online ordering, messaging, EHR.
- Ability to assist with contact lens fittings
- Experience in Optics and Optometry is a plus. On-site training provided by optometrist and office manager
