What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative (Entry Level Position) position at Visual One Intelligence™?
Visual One Intelligence is looking for ambitious, competitive, and curious people who want to build a career in enterprise technology sales.
This is an entry-level sales role designed to develop future Account Executives.
You do not need years of technology experience. You do need the drive to learn, the confidence to start conversations, and the desire to compete and improve.
As a BDR, you'll learn how to sell Visual One Intelligence, a FinOps and infrastructure intelligence platform that helps enterprise organizations better understand, optimize, and plan their technology environments.
You'll work directly with experienced sales professionals while learning the entire enterprise sales process, from identifying the right accounts and decision-makers to creating opportunities and eventually learning how those opportunities are developed and closed.
We're looking for people who want more than a job. We want future rainmakers who are motivated by results, enjoy winning, aren't afraid to pick up the phone, and want to build a career where their performance directly impacts their growth.
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for creating new conversations and opportunities with midsize and enterprise organizations across the United States.
That includes:
- Prospecting into target accounts through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Identifying and engaging IT leaders and other key decision-makers
- Creating strong first impressions with prospective customers
- Learning how to uncover business challenges through effective discovery
- Clearly communicating the value of Visual One Intelligence
- Researching companies, industries, technology environments, and potential opportunities
- Maintaining accurate inh Account Executives to create qualiformation and activity in our CRM
- Working toward weekly and monthly activity, meeting, and pipeline goals
- Continuously testing and improving your messaging, prospecting strategy, and sales process
Most importantly, you'll learn how to turn a cold account into a real business opportunity.
What You'll Learn
We view the SDR role as a sales development program, not simply an appointment-setting position.
You'll receive hands-on experience and coaching in:
Enterprise Sales
Cold calling, prospecting, discovery, objection handling, account strategy, messaging, follow-up, pipeline development, and the fundamentals of closing complex technology deals.
Artificial Intelligence for Sales
How to use tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to research accounts, understand industries, prepare for calls, personalize outreach, summarize meetings, develop messaging, and become a more productive salesperson.
Modern Sales Technology
How to use platforms such as ZoomInfo, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales engagement tools, and other technologies used by modern enterprise sales organizations.
Enterprise Technology
You'll develop an understanding of infrastructure, cloud, FinOps, storage, virtualization, observability, AI, and the challenges large IT organizations face managing increasingly complex environments.
The Full Sales Process
You'll see what happens after you create an opportunity: discovery, demonstrations, technical validation, proof of concepts, proposals, negotiations, and ultimately closing business.
Our goal is for you to understand not just how to book a meeting, but how great enterprise salespeople create and close business.
