What You’ll Do – Detailed Responsibilities
- Lawn Maintenance: Mow residential and small commercial lawns using commercial equipment; edge and trim for a clean finish; perform regular string trimming around beds, trees, and obstacles.
- Mulch Installation & Bed Maintenance: Spread mulch evenly, edge and redefine beds, weed by hand or tool, and keep beds looking sharp all season.
- Shrub & Hedge Trimming: Prune shrubs and hedges with hand and powered trimmers, shape for aesthetics and plant health, and clean up all debris.
- Planting & Softscaping: Assist with planting annuals, perennials, shrubs, and small trees; follow landscape plans and ensure proper soil prep and watering.
- Seasonal Cleanups: Remove leaves, branches, and debris in spring and fall; clear storm debris as needed.
- Site Setup & Cleanup: Load/unload tools and materials, set up safety cones/signage, and ensure job sites are left spotless.
- Equipment Care: Clean, fuel, and inspect mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools after each use; report issues promptly.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work as part of a 3–4 person crew, follow crew leader/ops manager instructions, and communicate clearly about job progress or any property issues.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers if present, answer basic questions, and refer more complex concerns to the crew lead or manager.
Requirements
Must-Have
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for early morning starts
- Able to work outdoors in all weather, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks all day
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Works well in a team and communicates respectfully
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with commercial landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers)
- Previous landscaping, lawn care, or softscape experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of plant care, mulching, or basic landscape design

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
