VIS is seeking an experienced or entry-level industrial inspection technician to join our predictive maintenance team. This position involves performing infrared inspections in industrial environments to identify overheating components, electrical issues, mechanical defects, and other developing equipment problems before they lead to failure.
Responsibilities
- Perform infrared inspections on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Document findings clearly and accurately using Microsoft Office and inspection reporting tools.
- Work independently and follow established safety procedures.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
Requirements
- Willingness to work in industrial environments.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel processing, machining, electric motors, or bearings is a plus.
- Infrared certification, such as Level I, is a plus.
- Vibration, Ultrasound, Alignment, or NDT certifications are a plus.
- Must pass mandatory and random drug testing.
