Job Summary:
Visual Edge IT is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to lead and elevate our procurement function across the organization. This individual will oversee all purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and cost management strategies to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with our financial and organizational goals.
This position is remote with 1–2 days in the office a week near one of our regional offices (Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Memphis, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Cleveland / Canton)
The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-driven leader with a deep understanding of strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and procurement systems. You’ll work cross-functionally to optimize spend, streamline operations, and build a procurement framework that drives value and sustainability across all categories.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business and financial objectives.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver measurable value.
- Establish and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts that balance cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
- Oversee procurement operations, including purchase orders, invoicing, and system management.
- Implement and optimize procurement technologies such as ERP systems and e-sourcing tools.
- Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team focused on accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to align procurement strategies with organizational priorities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities through spend analysis, reporting, and cost optimization insights.

- Managed Print Services
- IT & Technology (hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity)
- Office Supplies & Consumables
- Facilities Management
- Logistics & Distribution
- Telecommunications
- Travel & Hospitality
- Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and cycle times.
Required Skills / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPSM preferred).
- 8 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, including leadership roles.
- Proven track record of driving cost savings, operational efficiency, and supplier performance.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience with procurement systems, ERP tools, and digital sourcing platforms.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and execute in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
