Position Overview
**MUST HAVE PAYROLL SALES EXPERIENCE**
VCS HR is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Payroll Sales Representative to sell our payroll system. This role involves identifying prospective clients, understanding their payroll and HR needs through discovery, and providing tailored solutions using VCS HR’s technology. The ideal candidate is consultative, tech-savvy, and has a proven track record in b2b sales, particularly in payroll software solutions.
$60,000 - $80,000 base salary commission
Key Responsibilities
· Identify and develop new business opportunities for VCS HR’s payroll solutions.
· Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to HR professionals, finance teams, and executive decision makers.
· Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation and closing.
· Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development, and implementation to ensure client satisfaction.
· Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecast reporting using CRM tools.
· Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape and compliance regulations related to payroll and workforce management.
· Represent VCS HR at trade shows, conferences, webinars, and networking events.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, HR, or a related field.
· 3 years of successful sales experience in B2B, preferably in payroll, HR tech, SaaS, or relatable fields.
· Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance requirements, and HR operations.
· Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and build long-term client relationships.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team.
· Tech-savvy, the ability to understand and present cloud-based software solutions.
· Highly organized, self-motivated, and driven to exceed goals.
· Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Experience
· Experience with payroll/HR technology platforms.
· Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws and payroll tax compliance.
· Familiarity with integration between time and attendance, scheduling, and payroll systems.
