What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Supervisor EI&C Maintenance position at Vistra Corporate Services Company?
As a Plant Supervisor at Vistra Corporate Services Company, you will play a vital role in supporting the operation and maintenance of our Luminant Power Generating Stations. This position may require occasional travel to support other stations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of daily operation and maintenance of a generating station
- Maintain plant instrumentation and controls in optimal condition for safe, reliable, and efficient operation
- Ensure safety and environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, administrative and procedural compliance, and documentation
- Supervise Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls technicians, scheduling and assigning tasks based on priorities set by Operations or unit availability/reliability
- Collaborate with peers to plan and conduct meetings with maintenance personnel, attend and participate in management meetings to maintain productive relationships
- Provide troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of unit anomalies to ensure acceptable plant process control and efficiency
- Specify/purchase parts and materials for jobs, ensuring they meet proper standards/specifications
- Create/update Preventative Maintenance, Standard Work Estimates, and part lists in MAXIMO
- Assist in developing and implementing the EI&C Group annual budget to meet stated plant goals and objectives
- Perform employee performance appraisals and development to ensure a highly skilled technician workforce
- Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for orderly business conduct
- Evaluate performance of and recommend upgrades to new and existing control systems to enhance plant performance
- Manage contractors, project support, and completion, as well as NERC/CIP processes
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 5-7 years of power generation plant experience
- Experience using Maximo for planning work, creating purchase requests, and creating job plans
Preferred Experience:
Experience in operations and maintenance at a coal-fired power plant, particularly on a unit with a drum boiler. Technical background or Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control background is a plus. Leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, as well as good computer skills using Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with computer maintenance management systems, including PMMS and/or Maximo programs, is also beneficial.
