Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Manage execution of Extended Power Uprate projects from design through implementation, ensuring safety, budget, schedule, and quality requirements are met.
- Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria in coordination with site engineering, licensing, and executive sponsors.
- Oversee project budgets and resource plans, maintaining strict cost and performance controls.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, licensing, operations, EPC partners, OEMs) to deliver system upgrades and plant capacity improvements.
- Identify and manage technical, regulatory, and execution risks to support timely NRC approvals and project milestones.
- Apply proven project management practices to optimize planning, execution, and outage performance.
- Provide regular status updates and milestone reporting to project leadership and executive management.
- At least 10 years of nuclear industry experience, with 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects as a lead project manager or site manager of projects.
- Strong background in project management, engineering, and construction oversight.
- Familiarity with finance, project controls, and cost/schedule management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with EPCs, OEMs, and regulators.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel as required to support project execution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
- PMP certification required.
- Professional Engineer (preferred).
- Safety – 100% compliance with NRC and fleet standards; zero violations.
- Quality – Deliverables approved with minimal RAIs/corrective actions.
- Schedule – On-time completion of EPU milestones and outage work.
- Cost – ≥95% budget adherence with proactive variance control.
- Regulatory – Timely NRC approvals of LARs and submittals.
- Integration – Upgrades deliver increased capacity and long-term reliability.
- Stakeholders – Clear, accurate reporting that builds executive and regulator confidence.
