Visteon is seeking an intern to join the Cockpit Product Line supporting new AI-enabled in-cabin product development. In this role, you will:
- Support development, prototyping, and validation of AI in-cabin features (driver monitoring, occupant sensing, personalization, cabin intelligence signals).
- Integrate and test Edge AI models (vision, audio, sensor fusion) on cockpit compute platforms using modern toolchains (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT, PyTorch).
- Collect, label, and process in-cabin sensor datasets (RGB, IR, ToF, audio) to support model training and algorithm evaluation.
- Conduct benchmarking of AI models for latency, accuracy, robustness, and power efficiency on embedded hardware.
- Prepare test plans, run experiments, analyze model outputs, and document findings to support engineering reviews.
- Work cross-functionally with Cockpit hardware, software, UX, and system engineering teams to validate user-facing AI behaviors.
- Contribute to internal reports, demos, and technical presentations highlighting model performance and insights.
- Hands on experience developing AI driven in cabin features used in next generation cockpit platforms.
- Exposure to state of the art AI frameworks, toolchains, and embedded inference engines.
- Experience working with multimodal sensor data, dataset preprocessing, annotation tools, and evaluation pipelines.

- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.
- Knowledge: Understanding of neural networks, computer vision, or signal processing; familiarity with AI model life cycle.
- Tools : Experience or coursework with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, or embedded AI toolchains (e.g., ONNX Runtime, TensorRT, OpenVINO).
- Skills: Strong analytical and debugging skills; ability to work with datasets and evaluate model outputs.
- Communication: Excellent documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
