Patient Service Representative (PSR)

We are seeking a personable and patient focused professional who enjoys face to face customer interactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team, but be able to work independently when necessary. Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and outstanding communication will all be qualities the ideal candidate displays.

At Vistaura Eye our Patient Services Representative (PSR) is responsible for welcoming patients upon arrival, educating patients on their copayments and financial obligations and collecting payments when applicable, scheduling subsequent appointments as directed by the physician, updating patient's demographics and insurance coverage information, and promoting an overall culture of service excellence. PSRs display strong customer service skills that ensure that patients and family members have an amazing experience at Vistaura Eye.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
- Answering Phones daily
- Scheduling patients as necessary
- Collecting pertinent medical and vision insurance information
- Informing patients of their benefit information
- Collecting copays and posting charges in practice management system
- Updating demographics

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience with personal computers and proficient typing skills (preferred)
- Experience in medical insurance, vision insurance, and billing/coding (helpful)
- Prior knowledge of optometry, ophthalmology (preferred)

Salary negotiable based on experience.
