The IT Manager, Warehouse Operations owns Technology relationships, priorities, and outcomes for Warehouse and Field Operations across all Vistar locations. This role serves as the primary IT relationship owner for Operating Company (OpCo, aka distribution center) Managers, Directors, and Presidents, and is accountable for aligning technology priorities, financial constraints, and enterprise standards.
The IT Manager, Warehouse Operations owns day‑to‑day operational stability, support effectiveness, financial accountability, and prioritization across all warehouse and operations systems, while also directing development, enhancement, and deployment efforts. This IT Manager acts as the escalation point for complex operational issues and partners closely with Field Services, Infrastructure, Development teams, and senior IT leadership to ensure consistent execution and outcomes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
OpCo Relationship Ownership & Prioritization
- Serve as the primary IT relationship owner for OpCo Warehouse/Operations leadership and the trusted point of contact for Operations technology needs, risks, and decisions
- Own intake, prioritization, and trade‑off decisions across all Warehouse/Operations technology initiatives
- Balance OpCo priorities with enterprise standards, delivery capacity, financial constraints, and operational risk
- Own end‑to‑end support for Warehouse/Operations systems, including incident management, problem management, and change control
- Ensure 24/7 support readiness, clear escalation paths, and effective communication
- Partner closely with Corporate, Field and peer leaders to ensure aligned ownership and resolution
- Own financial accountability for Warehouse/Operations technology, including budgets, forecasts, vendor spend, and invoices
- Manage vendor relationships, performance, contracts, and delivery commitments
- Ensure spending aligns with business priorities, delivery plans, and operational value
- Direct development, enhancement, and deployment efforts across Warehouse/Operations platforms while enforcing standards and driving continuous improvement
- Lead daily scrum, sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives
- Ensure predictable delivery of enhancements, fixes, and new capabilities aligned to OpCo priorities
- HighJump Warehouse Management System (WMS) - Primary
- Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL backend development
- ERP (Gemini), Route Management (Roadnet, PeopleNet/Trimble), Carrier and Shipping systems (FedEx Flagship), Barcoding and RF, Cartonization (Blackbox), and EDI (Sterling, Boomi).
- Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps support models (Jira/Confluence)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/closely related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience managing IT delivery
- Demonstrated experience leading Agile software delivery teams
- Experience managing project financials, vendors, and contracts
- Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
