Chief Clinical Officer CCO Job Summary:
Direct and coordinate functions and activities of nursing department and assigned clinical operation departments. Consult with and advises Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on the general operation of the hospital. Develop nursing and clinical department’s goals, objectives, and standards of performance, policies and procedures. Organize nursing and clinical departments according to administrative and nursing service guidelines; ensure compliance with legal, organizational, and medical staff standards. Has authority and responsibility for establishing, directing, and implementing the Standards of Nursing Practice and the clinical operations and financial matters related to all nursing and clinical care areas and functions.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Master’s degree in Hospital Administration and/or MBA or MSN required.
Licenses/Certification: Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse – RN
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital administrative role and minimum of five (5) years nursing experience required. Critical care nursing experience is preferred.
