JOB FUNCTIONS
· Safely operate motorized and heavy equipment.
· Routinely operate tools and equipment.
· Muck and clean debris (sand, rock, etc.) daily.
· Operate various plant equipment required to perform the job (stationary and mobile).
· Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
· Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required.
· Work without close supervision once directed on task.
· Adhere to all quarry safety rules and encourage safety.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
· Mining and Mine Operation.
· Welding / Fabrication.
· Preventative maintenance schedules.
· Routine inspection and preventive maintenance.
· Applicable methods, materials, equipment and techniques.
· Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
· Basic math skills and measuring tools.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 2 years' experience as a maintenance technician within a mine setting.
· Must have current MSHA certification.
· Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
· Must have own transportation.
· Must be able to read, write, listen, speak and understand English.
· Must be able to muck and clean debris (sand, rock, etc.) daily.
· Must have heavy equipment (front end loader, dozer, excavator) operation experience.
· Mining or related industry experience.
· Must be flexible and capable of learning several different jobs in the department (will be expected to perform any number of assignments involving a variety of equipment and hand tools during the shift).
