POSITION TITLE: Assistant General Manager REPORTS TO: General Manager / Innkeeper ABOUT HAMPTON INN & SUITES COLUMBUS SCIOTO DOWNS The Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus Scioto Downs, managed by Vista Host Management & Development Company, is located adjacent to the popular Scioto Downs Racino, offering easy access to gaming, dining, and live entertainment. With over 80 modern guest rooms and suites, the property provides guests with amenities such as complimentary hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and an indoor pool. Its convenient location just south of downtown Columbus makes it a perfect choice for business travelers, tourists, and gaming enthusiasts alike. POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of hotel operations, including daily staff management, guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, cost control, and sales and revenue generation. This role assists the General Manager in driving the strategic vision and implementation of both Vista Host and brand-wide initiatives, focusing on exceeding guest expectations and building relationships with key customers. POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally. • Must be able to stand for extended periods. • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. • 3 years of experience in hotel operations or management. • Strong management, leadership, and time management skills.
