POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing and coordinating the resources, tasks, requirements, systems, and processes related to housekeeping and laundry operations. This role focuses on creating an energized and positive work environment while delivering exceptional guest service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet daily business demands, managing productivity and efficiency in line with labor models.
- Actively recruit and hire for all housekeeping positions.
- Oversee departmental staffing, training, and budgeting for effective planning and organization.
- Approach interactions with guests, employees, and team members in a professional and personalized manner.
- Maintain ongoing communication with hotel department heads and the front desk regarding guest requests and the overall condition of rooms and public areas.
- Facilitate effective communication within housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure consistency and clarity of objectives.
- Uphold a professional image, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a focus on safe, efficient hotel operations.
- Manage guest arrival, departure, and special needs coordination.
- Foster rapport with hotel guests, handle special arrangements, and encourage feedback throughout their stay.
- Oversee inventory, ordering supplies, and linens for the housekeeping department.
- Train housekeeping personnel on safety and standard operating procedures.
- Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
- Issue supplies and equipment as needed and participate in regular inventories to maintain appropriate supply levels.
- Maintain knowledge of proper equipment use, chemical usage, and linen care.
- Implement necessary changes to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Inspect rooms and areas, ensuring adherence to brand and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Chief Engineer on projects related to floor care, deep cleaning, and routine maintenance of public spaces.
- Distribute keys and work assignments to staff.
- Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping services and intervene in guest or employee incidents as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach to assist other staff members in completing tasks, as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
