Senior Network & Cabling Technician | Hotels & Commercial Projects
Vista Communications is hiring a Senior Structured Cabling & Network Technician with 10 years of experience in Cat6 cabling, rack & stack, access points, switches, and CCTV systems. This role is for technicians based in VA, MD, or PA, with primary travel across the East Coast in VA/MD/PA/NJ. Join our team executing complex hotel and office deployments, with opportunities for career growth into lead technician and project management roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Run, route, label, and secure Cat6 structured cabling in hotels and multi-floor office buildings
- Perform precision terminations on patch panels, 66 blocks, and 110 blocks
- Build, dress, and organize network racks (rack & stack)
- Install and cable wireless access points, network switches, and CCTV systems
- Install camera mounts, pathways, and head-end terminations for surveillance systems
- Test, certify, and document all cabling and device installations
- Read and execute work from floor plans, riser diagrams, and construction drawings
- Lead on-site deployments and mentor junior technicians
- Travel primarily throughout VA, MD, PA, NJ, NC
Qualifications
- 10 years of hands-on experience in structured cabling and commercial network installations
- Expert-level experience with Cat6 cabling, terminations, and rack & stack
- Strong experience installing and cabling access points, switches, and CCTV systems
- Must be based in VA, MD, or PA
- Experience working in hotels and commercial office buildings
- Ability to work independently and lead complex job sites
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- BICSI, manufacturer certifications, or similar preferred
