JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education & Pupil Services, the Board Certified BehaviorAnalyst (BCBA) will help drive meaningful change in the lives of individuals with specificdevelopmental disabilities and support VCPSs focus on restorative practices. The BCBA will beresponsible for conducting assessments, developing and supervising behavior intervention plans, andproviding oversight to Behavior Interventionists and other direct service staff.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), skills assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP,ABLLS-R), and client intake evaluations.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans based on assessmentresults and best practices in ABA.
3. Provide ongoing supervision and support to behavior interventionists, ensuring fidelity ofimplementation and ethical practice.
4. Train caregivers, educators, and support staff on behavior management strategies andskill-building interventions.
5. Collect, analyze, and report on client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinical, ethical, and fundingsource guidelines.
7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, andeducators, to ensure comprehensive client care.
8. Uphold all BACB ethical standards and stay current with ABA research and practices.
9. Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
Active BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
At least 1 year of experience providing ABA services in a clinical, home, or school setting.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience working with children with autism and other developmental disorders.
Proficiency in electronic data collection and ABA practice management systems.
Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,041
