Vista Center partners with local school districts across California to provide exceptional services for students who are blind or visually impaired. Our Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) enjoy flexible schedules, low caseloads, and strong administrative support from a team that truly understands the unique demands of vision education.

We are currently seeking one full-time or part-time TVI based in San Jose, CA. Candidates must hold (or be eligible for) a credential in vision services. If you’re passionate about empowering students and want to work in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Our Mission
Vista Center empowers individuals who are blind or visually impaired to embrace life to the fullest through evaluation, counseling, education, and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative instruction for students with visual impairments
- Support families and participate in IEP meetings
- Conduct assessments (FVA, LMA) and maintain accurate records
- Adapt materials and environments to meet student needs
- Collaborate with educators, service providers, and administrators
Requirements
- Current VI teaching credential or eligibility for intern credential
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between multiple sites
- Knowledge of child development, braille, and assistive technology
