IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives across the organization. This role oversees full project lifecycles—from planning and budgeting through execution and delivery—with a primary focus on infrastructure modernization, network upgrades, cloud integrations, and enterprise system deployments. The ideal candidate excels at coordinating cross-functional technical teams, managing vendor relationships, and driving projects to completion in fast-moving environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Manage large-scale infrastructure and technology projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
- Develop detailed project plans outlining milestones, tasks, resource needs, and timelines.
- Lead project meetings including kickoff sessions, status reviews, and post-implementation evaluations.
- Provide clear reporting and updates to stakeholders and technology leadership.
Infrastructure-Focused Execution
- Oversee projects involving servers, storage systems, virtualization platforms, cloud migration, disaster recovery, and data center operations.
- Support initiatives involving network upgrades, WAN/LAN improvements, firewalls, SD-WAN deployments, wireless enhancements, and telecom modernization.
- Coordinate requirements gathering sessions to ensure infrastructure needs are fully captured and accurately translated into technical specifications.
- Work directly with engineering teams to validate architectural designs, configurations, and implementation plans.
Vendor, Procurement & Contract Oversight
- Partner with procurement teams to evaluate technology solutions and manage sourcing, bids, pricing, and contract negotiations.
- Engage with vendors to ensure timely delivery of hardware, software, and consulting services.
- Review statements of work (SOWs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and project proposals.
Risk, Quality & Governance
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project stability.
- Validate deliverables to ensure compliance with operational standards, security requirements, and best practices.
- Implement project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches depending on project needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the liaison between technical teams, leadership, and business groups to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Guide business users through the development of project business cases and solution recommendations.
- Maintain project documentation, change control processes, and portfolio management entries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 years of experience managing enterprise technology or infrastructure projects.
- PMP certification required.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including:
- Servers, virtualization, storage systems, and data center environments
- WAN/LAN networks, routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN
- Wi-Fi technologies, cabling standards, fiber/copper media
- Cloud-hosted telephony/VoIP platforms and SIP trunking
- Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft Project, PPM platforms, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional project management certifications (e.g., ScrumMaster, PRINCE2).
- Experience with cloud platforms, telecom transformation, or enterprise modernization efforts.
Salary : $55 - $60
