Job Description:
• Remove all existing NetBackup software from 3000 backup clients (Windows, RHEL/CentOS, AIX, Solaris, VMware).
• Deploy Commvault v11.28 to all clients; register with CommServe; configure backup sets/subclient/plans.
• Translate and recreate all NetBackup policies in Commvault (retention, dedup, encryption, storage tiering).
• Execute tape migration: SL8500 Tape Library (LTO-3 to LTO-9) recall offsite tapes, restore to disk, ingest into Commvault.
• Transfer long-term retention data to cloud (AWS S3, Glacier, NetApp StorageGRID); apply WORM/immutability/encryption.
• Decommission NetBackup (clean catalog, scratch tapes, decommission robots).
• Train support/engineering teams; produce handover documentation.

• 4 yrs enterprise backup & storage management
• 4 yrs NetBackup AND Commvault monitoring & operations
• 4 yrs backup infrastructure integration (production systems)
• 4 yrs documentation, SOPs, stakeholder comms
• 4 yrs MSDP, media servers, tape libraries, Helios monitoring
