Location: Austin, TX (100% Remote)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $75/hr on W2
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support complex initiatives within a large-scale, Agile-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements, supporting testing efforts, and reporting project status to leadership. Experience with Medicaid systems is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex business analysis and develop clear, detailed technical documentation
- Gather, validate, and document business requirements; translate them into technical solutions
- Communicate project status to management, including risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions
- Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies
- Review and approve complex user and system requirements developed by vendors
- Coordinate and develop test plans, test strategies, exit criteria, and test scenarios
- Execute detailed test cases within complex software environments
- Approve and prioritize user stories based on stakeholder feedback and business priorities
- Collaborate closely with business users, technical teams, and vendors throughout the SDLC
- Support Agile ceremonies and deliverables
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- 8 years of experience performing complex business analysis and technical documentation
- 8 years of experience reporting project status, risks, and issues to leadership
- 8 years of experience gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements
- 8 years of experience reviewing and approving technical requirements written by vendors
- 8 years of experience coordinating and executing testing activities, including test plans and test cases
- 8 years of experience working in Agile development environments
- Experience approving and prioritizing user stories
- Experience using testing management software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) and related processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Texas Medicaid programs and PASRR (4 years preferred)
- Experience with the Long-Term Care Online Portal application (2 years preferred)
