Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced HVAC / Boiler Service Technician to support commercial and industrial heating, cooling, and boiler systems throughout the New Haven and Fairfield County, Connecticut areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience servicing HVAC and boiler equipment, and applicable Connecticut S-2 and/or D-2 trade licensing.

This opportunity offers competitive hourly compensation for a skilled technician capable of independently diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and maintaining reliable system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC and boiler systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and control-related equipment malfunctions.
• Service heating systems, boilers, burners, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical components.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment specifications.
• Respond to service calls and provide timely, effective solutions to equipment issues.
• Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and Connecticut licensing requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal service teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Connecticut S-2 and/or D-2 license
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and servicing HVAC and/or boiler systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities.
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and service documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned Connecticut service territory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience servicing commercial or industrial boilers and related heating equipment.
• Familiarity with combustion systems, burners, hydronic heating, and boiler controls.
• Experience working with multiple equipment manufacturers.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
