Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our growing home healthcare team in Halifax, Massachusetts.

Your Role as a Home Care Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA):
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled occupational therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote functional independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
- Training patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
- Recommending and training patients in the use of appropriate adaptive equipment under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, physical therapists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
- Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Requirements
Need to Have:
- Current Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience
- Afternoon availability
Nice to Have:
- Previous home care experience
- Monday–Friday availability
- Weekend availability
