Visiting Nurse Health System (Visiting Nurse) is seeking a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant who is a compassionate, empathetic, warm, and friendly professional with a strong ability to build and maintain stellar patient relationships at the bedside within the Hospice space. The ideal candidate is a humble CNA who understands the Hospice Philosophy regarding patient care. In this position...

• Demonstrates competency in all areas of the Certified Nursing Assistant skills competency checklist.


• Provides direct personal care to patients under the direction of the RN Case Manager and according to the written guidelines of the Certified Nursing Assistant plan of care.


• Performs special procedures as assigned and trained with demonstrated competency.


• Demonstrates necessary skills and safe techniques to assist the patient in all transfers and ambulation.


• Appropriately reports changes and documents pertinent information and care rendered to the patient on the CNA visit note; significant changes in condition or environment of a patient are noted and reported to the RN Case Manager in accordance with company policy.


• Demonstrates knowledge of company’s policies and procedures to provide services within company guidelines as evidenced by documentation, verbal report, and joint visit assessments.


• Completes accurate records according to company policy.


• Demonstrates proper body mechanics.


• Demonstrates safe technique in normal range of motion and positioning.


• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control standards and techniques as per VNHS policy and consistently practices these techniques.

Do you have....

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent in training and experience


• Must have successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program


• Must be certified as a nursing assistant in the State of GA 


• At least one (1) year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home, or home health agency. Hospice experience is a plus


• Must have reliable transportation, a valid GA driver's license, and proof of valid auto insurance

Compensation range: $16.37 - $24.56 an hour
