Responsibilities
- Administer treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Observe patient's condition to monitor response to treatment.
- Counsel and teach patient and their significant others to accomplish goals.
- Conduct occupational assessment/histories to determine health problems and level of functional ability.
- Establish and follow care plan which addresses problems requiring intervention.
- Formulate appropriate discharge plans.
- Meet with Therapy Scheduler on a regular basis.
- Maintain clinical records according to agency, state and federal guidelines.
- Assist in preparation of home health aides assignments and provide guidance to aides when applicable to occupational therapy.
- Attends case conferences on an as needed basis.
- Participate in inservice educational programs.
- Provide supervision to licensed occupational therapy assistants.
- Must hold current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Florida
- One year occupational therapy experience.
- Home Health experience highly desired
- lymphedema certification preferred
