Full-Time Medical Assistant (Bilingual Preferred)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves both clinical and front desk responsibilities, supporting physicians and ensuring a smooth, efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure
Prepare and label specimens for testing, processing, and storage
Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms
Enter clinical data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Obtain diagnostic reports and hospital notes; generate after-visit summaries
Register patients in the EMR system, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain necessary pre-authorizations
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Perform check-in, check-out, referrals, and follow-up appointment scheduling
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, or in a related healthcare role
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Experience in direct patient care and in a fast-paced primary care clinic strongly preferred
Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus
Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred
Schedule:
Must be available to work alternating Sundays and some evenings until 7:00 PM.
Salary : $20 - $22
