Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Clean and maintain the living environment, including laundry and general housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor client health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or home care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of ADLs and patient care best practices.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards caregiving responsibilities.
