Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs as needed
- Support with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Follow established care plans for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities when necessary
- Adhere to safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures
Experience
Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required. Candidates with background in patient observation, patient monitoring, working with people with autism or disabilities, dementia care, or social work will find this role aligns well with their skills. Experience in medication administration, vital signs measurement, resident care plans, or long-term care enhances suitability for this position. Training will be provided where needed; a compassionate attitude and willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this caregiving role.
Pay: $14.75 - $18.00 per hour
