Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking In Home Aides, both CNA’s and experienced caregivers in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties. Visiting Angels is a national, private duty network of home care agencies and the nation's leading provider of non-medical senior home care services. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
- Must adhere to plans of care for client
- Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
- One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
- Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
- Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
- Pass background and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
- Medication reminders
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
- Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments
- Perform light housekeeping duties for the client
- Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion
Skills
- Minimum One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver
- Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
