Caregiver/CNA (part-time)

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure resident health and safety
• Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities
• Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and maintaining proper nutrition
• Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injuries for both residents and staff
• Maintain resident's rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and personal preferences at all times
• Engage in cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic environment within the care setting
• Drive residents safely when required for appointments or outings using standard passenger cars
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care plans

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care environments with a focus on geriatrics or memory care
• Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support strategies, and behavior management techniques
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations
• Skilled in medication administration following strict safety protocols
• Familiarity with resident’s rights legislation and ethical caregiving practices
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly desirable
• Competent in using manual handling equipment and practicing safe patient lifting procedures
• Excellent client communication skills to foster trust and understanding with residents and their families
• Capable of operating vehicles responsibly for resident transportation needs
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining a compassionate approach to caregiving

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
