Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking both CNA’s and experienced in-home health caregivers, in Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley Counties. Visiting Angels is a national, private duty network of home care agencies and the nation's leading provider of non-medical senior home care services. Work part-time, days, evenings, weekends, or even overnights per current client roster. Provides personal one-on-one care to the client. On-going need to fill this role.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance
• Must adhere to plans of care for client
• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs
• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred
• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff
• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status
• Pass background and drug screening
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Medication reminders
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions
• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments
• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client
• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion
  
  
  

Skills:

• One year of proven experience as an in-home caregiver (Preferred)
• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  
  
  

We service Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley counties, and the surrounding areas in SC.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
