What are the responsibilities and job description for the Convention Sales Coordinator position at Visit Tampa Bay?
Responsibilities
- Strong use of technology, i.e., CRM customized database, Microsoft Office products, Adobe Illustrator, and others
- Provide administrative support to Chief Sales Officer and Account Directors with various functions; proposal creation, lead generation, participation in FAMS and Site events, etc.
- Assist with group business development
- Monitor team’s budget spending and process invoices
- Assist with trade show prep, prepare presentations, and preparation of committee meetings
- Provide customer service by receiving inquiries and solving problems
- Communicate exceptionally with team members and cross-departmentally
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent hospitality, Convention Center, or DMO experience
- Relevant experience and above-average technology skills in customer databases and data entry
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-starter who will establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Must exude a friendly, attentive, and welcoming demeanor at all times
- Must be able to work on-site at our Tampa office 5 days/week
