JOB DESCRIPTION: Organize, direct, and oversee tourism and hospitality events in conjunction with our sales managers; responsible for every part of event preparations and onsite event management, including set up, tear down, transportation of event supplies and staffing on-site information and services tables. When not engaged in event support this role will provide general sales team support in the office
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: These roles and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual assigned to this position. - Work with the sales team to identify each event client’s requirements and expectations
- Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and stakeholders before, during, and after the event to ensure everything is in order.
- Manage in conjunction with sales team all event set-up, tear-down, and follow-up processes.
- Oversee and maintain organization of the sales team event supplies storage unit, ensuring all items are checked out and returned to their proper places.
- Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to the client’s standards.
- Receive and respond to questions and concerns from patrons; identify issues and resolve problems or refer to supervisor as appropriate
- Assist the sales team by entering new leads, checking in with existing clients, and supporting with follow-ups after the event.
- Maintain client and event records in Simpleview CRM and assist with report production and preparing proposals and surveys.
- Manage, inventory, and order welcome bag items in conjunction with CEO/DOS.

- Excellent communication skills, effective public speaking, and attention to detail
- Must be able to navigate various requests to meet each client's tailored needs
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong client service skills, and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships
- Collaborate with team members; effectively provide on-site work direction
- Knowledge of event management, and facility rentals and operations
- Knowledge of sales methods, techniques, and negotiations
- Perform work as directed in an efficient, effective, safe, and timely manner; assist with event training; be able to respond appropriately to changing situations
