Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist role located in Huntington Station, NY. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage vision conditions, and prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments. Daily responsibilities include educating patients on eye health, discussing treatment options, and ensuring accurate documentation of clinical findings. The role collaborates closely with store leadership and optical staff to deliver a seamless patient experience and support practice growth. The Optometrist is expected to uphold clinical standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, active optometry license in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain).
• Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing refractive errors, and managing common ocular conditions.
• Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses, treatments, and preventive eye care in clear, accessible terms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and retail teams to coordinate patient flow and ensure high-quality service.
• Commitment to evidence-based clinical practice, professional ethics, and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards of care.
• Comfort with using electronic health record (EHR) systems and diagnostic equipment in a busy, patient-focused environment.
• Demonstrated dedication to inclusivity, respectful patient care, and maintaining a welcoming environment for individuals from all backgrounds.
• Prior experience in a retail or medical eye care setting is beneficial but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
