Paralegal
A growing commercial development company headquartered in Corning, New York seeks an experienced paralegal.
*Position located in Corning, NY*
Preferred candidates will have experience in:
- Complex commercial real estate purchase, sale and financing transactions;
- Formation and maintenance of business entities in New York and Delaware;
- Private offerings; and
- Evictions, tax assessment challenges and other real estate-related litigation.
This position works under the supervision of the company’s general counsel and will assist with:
- Purchase, sale and financing transactions including document preparation, title insurance, search and survey orders, coordinating communications with counterparty counsel and other professionals and closing statement preparation;
- Preparation and filing of business entity formation and governance documents;
- Preparation of offering materials and other regulatory filings;
- Preparation, service and filing of court documents;
- Responding to information and document requests; and
- Records management for expanding property portfolio currently consisting of more than fifty properties in five states.
The position works on-site at the company’s Corning, New York headquarters. Preferred candidates must be capable of working independently, well-organized, excel at email and telephone communication and produce high-quality work under time constraints.
