Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of breakfast items with attention to presentation and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment, following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food handling and food safety management to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment such as toasters, coffee machines, and warming stations efficiently and safely
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems while providing friendly in-person customer service
- Restock supplies, organize food displays, and ensure the breakfast buffet is inviting and well-maintained
- Follow manual handling procedures when lifting or moving heavy items such as trays or bulk ingredients
- Support catering or special event setups as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Skills
- Previous experience in fine dining, food service, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing inventory levels
- Familiarity with wine knowledge is a plus but not required
- Experience with POS systems and handling weight in the workplace ensures smooth service delivery
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
