JOB SUMMARY:
A registered nurse assures that care is coordinated between services and that all of the patient’s needs identified by the assessments are addressed. Assesses and obtains a history on the total physiological, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of the patient and caregivers. The registered nurse assesses, monitors, plans, and takes appropriate action to prevent potential complications associated with specific health problems and/or medical treatment. In collaboration with other members of the health care team and under the orders of the physician, uses clinical judgment skills to evaluate and treat the patient in response to actual or potential health conditions. Completes paperwork in a timely manner according to the documentation policy.
