The Opportunity
We are hiring an Audio Visual (AV) Support Technician to join our Service and Managed Services team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customer AV and Unified Communications systems built on Crestron, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Shure, Biamp, and Q-SYS platforms. You will work across remote diagnostics, dispatched on-site service, scheduled preventative maintenance, and VisionCare managed service contracts.
What You Will Do
· Respond to service tickets for Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Crestron, and Cisco Webex environments
· Perform remote troubleshooting, firmware updates, configuration changes, and log review
· Travel to customer sites across Connecticut and the Northeast to diagnose and repair AV/UC systems
· Complete scheduled preventative maintenance visits under VisionCare service contracts
· Swap, test, and calibrate cameras, microphones, displays, DSPs, codecs, and control processors
· Document findings, resolutions, and recommendations in ticketing and CRM systems
· Partner with Engineering, Programming, and Installation teams on escalations and warranty work
· Deliver a professional, customer-first experience that reinforces long-term client relationships
What We Are Looking For
· Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial AV service, installation, IT support, or a closely related technical field
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, or similar UC platforms
· Experience troubleshooting Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, Q-SYS, or comparable AV control, DSP, and audio systems
· Understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, VLANs, and basic QoS
· Strong diagnostic skills and a methodical approach to problem isolation
· Excellent written and verbal communication for customer-facing interaction and ticket documentation
· AVIXA CTS certification preferred. Manufacturer certifications (Crestron, Biamp, Q-SYS, Shure) a plus
· Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regionally
· Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical service tasks on ladders or lifts as needed
