Job Title: IT Support Specialist

About the job

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This entry-level role is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to employees, helping maintain a smooth and efficient IT environment across the organization. The ideal candidate is responsive, organized, and eager to learn, with a strong service mindset and a solid understanding of basic IT support functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1 years of IT support, helpdesk, internship, or related technical experience
  • Experience in Windows operating systems, computer hardware, networking, and common business applications
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or part-time experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools
  • Exposure to user account administration in Active Directory, Okta, or similar platforms
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts such as Wi-Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, and printers
  • Experience supporting collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Slack
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for employees on hardware, software, network, and system-related issues
  • Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and other office equipment
  • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device preparation, account setup, and access removal
  • Support user account management, including password resets, access requests, and permission updates
  • Install, update, and maintain standard business software and security tools
  • Track, document, and resolve support tickets in a timely and professional manner
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment and software licenses
  • Help ensure IT policies, security practices, and asset management procedures are followed
