Infrastructure Engineer (Multiple Levels)

 

Visionist is bidding on an upcoming PRIME contract and, in anticipation of award, we’re seeking Infrastructure Engineers to join our team at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. You will advance the future of maritime domain awareness by enhancing global ship tracking systems. You’ll leverage state-of-the-art analytics, multi-INT fusion, and cutting-edge technologies to detect and disrupt illicit activities at sea—including smuggling, trafficking, illegal fishing, and waste dumping—while also preventing terrorism, securing global commerce, and strengthening U.S. homeland defense. Your contributions are… 
  - Design and implement enterprise infrastructure systems, including domains, servers, remote access, and mail systems
  - Analyze system requirements to ensure secure and efficient integration with existing applications
  - Support application development teams by advising on infrastructure compatibility and system requirements
  - Manage and maintain hardware/software infrastructure, including VM environments in both secure and unsecure networks
  - Develop and maintain security documentation, network diagrams, and infrastructure plans
  - Identify and resolve complex infrastructure configuration and performance issues
  - Provide hands-on support, monitoring, and optimization of infrastructure systems
  - Collaborate with vendors for quotes and troubleshooting, and work closely with the Chief Systems Engineer to implement system changes and meet project deadlines

 
Requirements for your new career…
  - Associate's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional higher education may substitute years of experience)
  - 2-12 years of experience in system engineering
  - Experience in designing secure, scalable systems for enterprise environments
  - Experience managing high-availability Multi-INT operational systems
  - Ability to document systems and manage multiple infrastructure components from concept to operations
  - Skilled in VM management, performance tuning, and cross-team collaboration
  - Strong understanding of infrastructure, programming environments, and software/web applications

Level 1: $65,000 - $105,000

Level 2: $85,000 - $150,000

Level 4: $130,000 - $170,000

Level 5: $150,000 - $240,000
