We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager – Pharmaceutical to drive enterprise data initiatives and delivering high-impact data programs.
Position Summary:
The Technical Program Manager will lead the planning, execution, and governance of enterprise data programs across multiple cross-functional teams. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, program management, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking to successfully deliver complex data and analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate has experience managing enterprise-scale data platforms, cloud data modernization projects, and cross-functional technical teams within highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of enterprise data and analytics programs.
- Develop program roadmaps, execution plans, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate multiple technical workstreams including Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, AI/ML, and Data Governance.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate business objectives into executable technical programs.
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies across multiple projects.
- Drive Agile delivery practices and facilitate Scrum ceremonies where applicable.
- Monitor program KPIs, milestones, budgets, and overall delivery health.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Business Leaders.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Present executive-level program updates, dashboards, and status reports to senior leadership.
- Establish communication plans and governance forums across business and technology teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, program governance, and execution excellence.
- Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners where applicable.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of overall IT experience.
- 5 years of experience managing large-scale Data, Analytics, or Cloud transformation programs.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise data platform initiatives.
- Strong understanding of modern data architecture and data engineering concepts.
- Experience managing distributed global delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, and cross-functional dependencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
- Prior experience working with regulated environments (GxP, FDA, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or Agile certifications.
