Visionelle Eyecare is a small practice in Zionsville, IN led by Dr. Nytarsha Thomas. We are customer-centric, creative, engaging and our goal is to be a safe space for patients, educating them about their eye health and giving them the best care they've ever experienced from any eye care facility.
Duties:
- Assist patients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements of patients' seg heights and pupillary distances
- Help patients choose frames that suit their style and prescription needs
- Adjust frames to ensure proper fit and comfort for patients
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- File insurance for orders and encounters
- Perform basic repairs and adjustments on eyewear
- Maintain inventory of eyewear and contact lenses
- Keep the optical area clean and organized
- Operate optical equipment in the pretesting part of the exam
- Take accurate notes when scribing for the doctor during exams
- Obtain thorough documentation of patients' medical history
- Answer phones as promptly as possible, exhibiting top-tier customer service skills
- Participate in social media and marketing efforts for the practice
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role (preferred)
- Familiarity with handling customers of varying ages and demographics
- Proficiency in retail math for pricing and discounts
- Experience using RevolutionEHR (preferred)
- Understanding of medical billing processes related to vision care (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
