What You’ll Do
- Support the surgical team by preparing the operating room and ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready.
- Assist in patient safety and positioning during procedures.
- Learn and perform scrub duties under the guidance of experienced staff, including passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Handle decontamination, cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
- Restock supplies, manage deliveries, and prepare for upcoming surgical days/weeks.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a healthcare or sterile processing environment preferred; surgical experience is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn scrub tech responsibilities and grow within the role.
- BLS certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team.
- Flexible schedule and commitment to patient safety.
- Experience in an ASC or OR setting is favorable but not required; certification as a surgical technologist is a plus.
