Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Science and History Teacher for Middle and High School students to inspire and educate students across diverse learning levels. In Person instruction are Monday thru Thursday. No in person class Fridays.
Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for science and social sciences, including history.
- Utilize educational technology tools to create IT-integrated lessons that cater to various learning styles and promote active engagement.
- Develop innovative instructional materials through research, creative writing, and instructional design techniques to support literacy education and subject mastery.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, employing behavior management strategies that foster respect, participation, and collaboration among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and upcoming assessments or projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, teaching strategies, and school initiatives to ensure a cohesive educational experience for all students.
Experience
- Teaching experience with teenagers in science, history, or social sciences is preferred.
- Would consider a Paraprofessional experience or Teacher Assistant experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored to diverse student needs.
- Strong background in educational technology integration, including learning management systems (LMS), digital resources, and IT tools for classroom instruction.
- Experience working within private school settings or similar educational environments is preferred; familiarity with Montessori or other specialized pedagogies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor students effectively while fostering positive relationships with parents and staff.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards, standardized testing procedures, special education accommodations, and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on different learning styles while maintaining organizational efficiency and classroom discipline.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
