Accounting Supervisor

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily financial operations and support monthly and annual reporting cycles. This role serves as a key link between staff and finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting team members.
• Oversee daily general ledger activity, balance sheet integrity, and subledger workflows.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close tasks.
• Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting documentation.
• Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
• Identify and implement process efficiencies.
• Provide training and guidance on complex accounting matters.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for management as needed.

This is a direct-hire hybrid role in the Atlanta area (three days onsite, two remote) offering strong benefits, PTO, and a collaborative culture.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and reporting
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (PeopleSoft, Avalara, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational abilities
• High accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

• CPA or CMA
