Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct inspections of mechanical systems and equipment to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Assist with animal handling, restraint, and care as needed, ensuring safety for both animals and staff.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks related to maintenance activities and animal care.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly for animal health needs.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and inventory tracking.
Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance or repair work.
- Familiarity with equine or veterinary environments is highly desirable.
- Experience in animal handling and restraint techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge or AC/DC controls and power electricity
- Knowledge or Hydraulic, pneumatic and piping systems preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
