Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer – Cisco Enhanced Packet Core (EPC) Managed Services to support, operate, and maintain Cisco EPC infrastructure for a large-scale telecommunications environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cisco Enhanced Packet Core (EPC), LTE/4G mobile core technologies, IP networking, and managed services operations. This role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and ensuring high availability and performance of the mobile packet core network.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for Cisco Enhanced Packet Core (EPC) environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to LTE/4G packet core networks.
- Support EPC components including MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF, and charging platforms.
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.
- Monitor network health using NMS and performance monitoring tools.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Cisco EPC infrastructure.
- Support software upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendor teams to resolve production issues.
- Participate in change management, maintenance windows, and on-call support.
- Ensure network availability, performance, scalability, and security.
- Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in telecom network operations or managed services.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Enhanced Packet Core (EPC) or Cisco Ultra Packet Core.
- Strong understanding of LTE/4G EPC architecture and packet core technologies.
- Experience supporting:
- Mobility Management Entity (MME)
- Serving Gateway (SGW)
- Packet Gateway (PGW)
- Home Subscriber Server (HSS)
- Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF)
- Strong knowledge of LTE signaling protocols:
- Diameter
- GTP-C / GTP-U
- S1-MME
- S11
- S5/S8
- Strong networking knowledge including:
- TCP/IP
- BGP
- OSPF
- MPLS
- VLANs
- Routing & Switching
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Wireshark, packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
- Knowledge of SNMP, Syslog, and network monitoring solutions.
- Experience with incident management and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
Salary : $50 - $60
