Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- No weekends

Vision Source South Asheville is seeking a motivated, fashion-conscious Eyewear Specialist (Optician) to join our team. Optical experience is preferred, but no experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a passion for helping people, enjoys sales, and has a strong sense of style.
As an Eyewear Specialist, you will perform the traditional duties of an optician while helping patients choose eyewear that complements their appearance, lifestyle, and vision needs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining healthcare, fashion, customer service, and sales.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with selecting frames and lenses based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal style
- Explain lens options, coatings, and premium eyewear products
- Take accurate optical measurements
- Process and track eyewear orders
- Verify eyewear orders for accuracy upon arrival
- Adjust, fit, and perform minor repairs to eyeglasses
- Maintain optical displays and inventory
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the patient experience
- Help achieve optical sales goals while ensuring patients receive the best solutions for their vision needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Optical experience preferred, but not required
- Retail, fashion, luxury sales, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
