Our client is a founder-led specialty manufacturer with over $80 million in revenue and 200 employees. Headquartered in Northern New Jersey, and with an international footprint including a European location, the company is entering an exciting new phase of growth driven primarily through acquisitions. Reporting to the Controller, the incoming Senior Cost Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory valuation and the effective tracking of production costs across the business. - Developing and maintaining standard costs, analyzing variances, and providing insights into the cost implications of operational decisions.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
- Develop and update annual standard costs for labor, machine hours, and overhead; support budgeting and variance analysis.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing reporting accuracy and system utilization.
- Perform special projects or additional duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO.
