Job Summary
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. The ideal candidate will have experience with high voltage systems and be proficient in using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. The Maintenance Director will play a crucial role in maintaining safety standards, improving operational efficiency, and managing maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Duties
- Supervise and manage the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Oversee electrical maintenance tasks, including high voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Fabricate parts and components as necessary to support maintenance operations.
- Utilize CMMS for tracking work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance, and managing inventory of parts and supplies.
- Develop and implement maintenance management strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance environment.
- Strong electrical knowledge, particularly with high voltage systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance management.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various types of equipment.
- Experience in fabricating parts or components is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Working knowledge of building systems, tools, and safety protocols.
